Induction day parade/schedule

I apologize if this is answered elsewhere, I couldn't find via searches. Does anyone know the schedule for the parade the day after I-day (for a parent)? My understanding is that our DS will be dropped off early on I-day and we won't see him again except for a brief glimpse at the swearing in / parade the following day? I am planning to take my daughter to drop DS off and then we are going to head off for some fun Colorado adventures. Trying to figure out how long we should expect to be at the Academy that second day. Will we be out by noon? Earlier? Thanks.
 
On the FB parent's page, the USAFA Parent Liaison said the swearing in is not until July 2nd. From what I understood, there were not any formal events to attend the day after I-Day.

I thought it was July 10th....

There will not be a Swearing-In Ceremony or parade the day after I-Day this year. Suggest you go ahead and start your Colorado Adventures as soon as you drop your DS off on I-Day! :)

Is the Colorado parent group picnic for all parents or just for the Colorado families? We will be coming in from Missouri, but would love to attend. I am getting set up on the FB parents page, just got all the information a couple days ago of all the ones to join!

It's for all families.
 
Does anyone know the schedule after BCT? Are we allowed to leave with our families for a few days or is the transportation/full return back to the base going to take longer?

Aside from Sponsor family day, we aren’t allowed to leave before parent weekend in September.

The days after BCT ends but before classes start are transition days where you will have meetings, drills, parade practices, and a lot of other things. They are not free days. Your days are full from I-Day until your first day of leave for Thanksgiving. As was mentioned, Labor Day is Parents Weekend (If they have it this year, which I expect they will). Your family can come to visit and you will be able to leave USAFA with them from Saturday after the football game until Monday evening, but you must stay within 150 miles of USAFA.
