Intentional DQ for spot at USMAPS

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, I was informed this week that West Point will not be processing my CFA, but will intentionally DQ me to offer me a spot in the USMAPS class of 2022!

I had CFA videos turned in months ago... I guess I now know why they were never processed;)

Has anyone heard of this scenario before? From what I understand USMAPS is typically for prior enlisted, recruited athletes, etc.

Nonetheless, I am beyond thrilled about this opportunity. I have been told on numerous occasions that USMAPS is the way to go if serious about West Point. I'm humbled, excited, and extremely thankful to be moving toward my ultimate goal of becoming an Army officer.

I wish the absolute best for all of those still waiting... It's not over until it's over!
 
USMAPS is also for applicants who they feel needs some seasoning before being admitted to the cademy itself. It's a golden ticket. Enjoy!
 
USMAPS grad in our family, and was not a recruited athlete or prior enlisted. If offered, TAKE IT. Was a great year for growth in every way possible and much better prepared for life at USMA.
