I am a '99 USAFA grad and former intel officer and I'm married to a '96 USMA grad (former helo pilot). Football season is intense in our household but we can both agree to BEAT NAVY. I've been lurking on this site to give myself something to do while my DS17 works on his applications to USAFA and USMA (also applying to USNA but longshot due to color vision issues) and to stay out of his way while satisfying my need to constantly research everything. I also have 3 more boys down the line that have expressed interested in SAs so we'll see where that takes us in the future. We homeschool all of our children which puts a little more pressure on me as the principal and lead guidance counselor in addition to parent, but that doesn't really change DS's application experience. I'm already enjoying the personalities and have learned a lot from folks on this forum (including a classmate). Things have changed a lot since DH and I went through this process a million years ago as nothing was online back then.

Welcome, @99Gold. You’ll have much to add to this forum, with your SA and AD experience. And your sons will no doubt be well guided through the whole process. I’m guessing you’ll find that the more things change, the more they remain the same. 🤔

Thank you. I'm happy to talk about my experiences as well as gain valuable information from everyone here.
