Invitation Only USCGA Live Chat 12/4/08??

Has anyone received an invite to Thursday's live chat for the USCGA website?
 
This week the chat is just for EA applicants who have already received appointments...there will most likely be another chat between Christmas and New Years for everyone else in EA who receives their appointment between now and 12/24.
 
We received word yesterday. My son opened his mail and received an appointment!! he is elated. The waiting is over and I hope for all you too soon with good news. Thanks and best wishes to all!!
 
So was a letter or the big thick envelope we all dream of?
 
It comes in an oversized cardboard mailer. about 8 X 14 in size. A full appointment will include a folder with informational papers about how to accept/deny the appointment, congratulatory letter and a book on the courses offered at the CGA. It was mailed on December 2 and we received it on December 4. We live on Long Island, NY which is in close proximity to Groton, Conn. Hope that helps....

LOL...That might be where they mailed it from??? Groton is where the hotel was that we stayed at before reporting to AIM.. maybe New London doesnt have a PO ??

Just kidding you a little, no worries. :thumb:

Yes, New London has a post office (06320), it gets very busy during Swab Summer since written letters are the only means of communication the swabs will have with the "outside world" until they get their shoulder boards in mid August (not counting Eagle and Mystic).
 
The funny thing is that as I hear about more people getting their letters I get really nevous. When am I going to get some good mail for once.
 
i got my appointment yesterday i was so excited i started screaming and yelling and shaking. Hope everyone hears soon, good luck to all.
