Is double majoring a possibility in the AFA?

If you're shooting for the moon, I.E. you're thinking about test pilot school and the space program, there are a lot of dudes and dudettes that made it without double majoring at USAFA.

Every member of my class that graduated from TPS...none were double majors.

TPS doesn't happen until your second or third assignment. You will "need" a graduate degree in engineering to attend and not all attendees are pilots.

Medical school can happen immediately after graduation BUT it is extremely competitive (20 ish) per class. My son's GF is currently in this process and my son is an aero major.

As I watch them and their classes and requirements with homework, MCAT prep, shadowing and my son's GRE prep, I don't think it would be possible to satisfy everything you need for the pre-med track and complete an engineering degree while also completing the leadership and athletic portions of USAFA. Unless you are a super genius you would be setting yourself up for failure.

There are lots of astronaut paths, and in today's world, I don't believe (IMO) that pilot is the most direct path.
