DS just learned that he received a congressional nomination to USNA, USMA, and the merchant marine academy.
USCGA remains his top choice but we are feeling less hopeful for an EA appointment by 12/23 and think that a deferral to regular admission is more likely (he’s a reapplicant - self prep- and we heard that many of those kids don’t get their appointment until spring)
His AO knows that he has a medical DQ from dodmerb so no appointment until March means possibly no medical waiver until May! so DS is trying to be proactive with backup plans.
Is it appropriate to inform his AO about the nominations? Just thinking maybe the CGA would hurry up and give him his appointment because this mom is dying over here (from this past year of waiting!)
