Is it to late for a CFA retake? / Issues with uploading videos

Hello everyone! This is my very first post. After many months of viewing discussion threads, I have finally made an account in order to hopefully recieved some answers to a few questions. First of all, I have passed all parts of my CFA except the basketball throw. My distance was roughly 45 feet if I remember correctly. I feel that I am a very competitive candidate and I do not want the basketball throw to be what restricts me from recieving an appointment. I have kindly asked the office of admissions if I could retake the CFA. However, I am very worried that I will not get an answer since it is a weekend. Furthermore, the 'deadline' for everything to be turned in is tomorrow (JAN-31st). Can CFA retakes turn in results after this deadline. Even if it is just by one day? Also, is anyone else having a hard time uploading videos? I uploaded my pullup video yesterday with no problem at all. However, today the portal is having a hard time uploading my pushup video. I always get a "500" error message. What should I do?
 
Try a different computer, as far as a retake I’m not sure if it’s you can after the deadline so I’d keep training like you can.
 
I had a lot of trouble uploading my push-up retake video even though I had no problem originally. I just kept changing the file format (.MOV, etc.) and trying to upload versions of different sizes until something worked. I’m still not sure what the issue was because I followed all of the upload instructions.

Thank you. I tried different sizes of the video for a while all day today. Finally, one went through a few minutes ago.

I finally got it to work. Thank you. Does anyone else know if applicants retaking the CFA can submit past the January 31st deadline. Once again, I feel like I am a very competitive candidate that will likely recieve an appointment if I pass this basketball portion of the CFA.
 
You cannot submit a CFA after the application deadline. If you do submit a passing CFA by 1200 AM EST, your file will be considered incomplete.
 
DD just got an email from USMA that there were issues with uploading videos and that it has been fixed.
 
IMO, text your field rep and explain to them the situation.

I still can't upload my video, still getting the error. Also, one of my videos exceed the file size limit, is there anyway to work around this?

Also, always try a different browser. While it may be an internal issue with the SA, sometimes different browsers are the trick. Chrome and our DS argued a lot last year. Ended up at Edge for the majority of app submissions.

I’m not sure what type of computer you are on, but you can reduce the file size of videos by reducing the quality slightly. Look up how to do it on your specific device.
 
My video was able to go through eventually. If you havent tried in the past few minutes, try again. Also, do you think it would be possible to retake the CFA tomorrow or after the 31st?
 
Try actually shutting down, and restarting whatever electronic device you are using. Sometimes that clears out glitches.

And anyone trying to load stuff the weekend it’s due...y’all are KILLING me 😂!!! WHY would you wait until the deadline weekend? For just this instance, having issues, and you cannot contact admissions for guidance. Because they are closed on weekends. ALWAYS leave yourself an out. Always plan for contingencies.

If you don’t pass the CFA by the deadline? You don’t pass the CFA. Again, why wait until the weekend it’s die? And don’t you have to have permission to retake it ? I don’t think you can randomly retake, as far is I have read/understand. I’m not admissions though. But also don’t think you should be accommodated beyond the deadline. It’s there for a reason, and a thousand others managed to get theirs in in time.

No disrespect intended at all, but if you wait to the last moment, and something goes wonky....then you are in a mess. Hope this works out for everyone. But y’all are giving me heartburn 😳🙄😆
 
All CFA re-tests need prior approval and are at the discretion of the Regional Commander. You cannot just re-attempt and submit new scores because the system keeps your submitted CFA score and prevents additional scores from being added until it is reset.
 
Hey. Same boat as you.

Approval needs to come from RC. All January test takers don't get retake opps apparently since it's so "late in the process". I scored a bit above you at 49, though I'm pretty sure (not entirely 100%) is failing.

Last cycle our son emailed his CFA scores to his regional counselor the first week of September. He was told to not formally submit until mile time was X or better. That was September and the RC said no do overs.
That, and weather, injury, site access, tech glitches, holidays etc are why these late submissions are giving @justdoit19 and I angst and heart palpitations.
Moving forward put your best foot forward as early as possible. Leave room for the unforeseen.
