Good morning. My DS received his TWE from USAFA and is continuing on with his now plan A at Embry Riddle. We have done zero research on ROTC programs. Is it too late? If not, what steps should he take? We tour the campus in 2 weeks!

No - It is not too late to join the ROTC program at Embry Riddle (you have missed the ROTC Scholarship window for the upcoming year). Call the ROTC office at ERAU and they are very helpful about the process. They can advise you on Scholarship options for next year. Good luck.

^ This. You need to make them aware of your interest so they can tell you what you need to do and when to report.

Yes. The units we have looked at have an application you have to complete and there are medical forms before you can participate. You can’t just show up,

It is never too late to be college program. I know many people who have started on college program and pick up a Scholarship or Advanced Standing very quickly. (Ask the unit there for the difference. One may have less requirements then the other) Also Embry Riddle is a great school. That was my plan B school If I didn't get into the University of Florida and a good friend of mine goes to their Daytona campus on scholarship. It is a beautiful campus with lots of great opportunities for STEM majors. As far as freshman life with rotc I cant comment on that due to the pandemic.
