Just took the CFA yesterday:

BB Throw-63'
Shuttle-8.4s
Pullup-10
Crunches-83
Pushup-50
Mile-7:13

Is this good enough to pass for all the academies? A bit worried about mile

The answer is a question(s). Do you want a score good enough to pass, or do you want to train and strive to MAX it? Which do you think makes you more competitive?

I was just wondering if this would pass. Obviously maxing it would make someone more competitive...

This forum can’t tell you what “passing” is because we don’t have access to the scoring formula. In the end, only you can decide if this is “passable.” If you think you can do significantly better, then do it again. There’s plenty of time still.

+1 @MidCakePa - your mile time is 30 seconds below the average listed in the CFA Instructions (with none of the other scores very far from posted average). It is up to you what you do with those data points.

As stated, no one knows minimum acceptance scores to any SA.
From what has been reported by successful past candidates, I would say you are at a “passing “ overall, but that’s not guaranteed! My point wasn’t that you need to max it, but you need to push to do well above average on everything you possibly can.
Look at class profiles, and other threads to see what “Averages “ are and push to exceed those at a minimum, not the minimum reported scores.
CFA is like SAT/ACT, something you can practice and practice to do YOUR best. That is all you can do . Control what you can control to make yourself the most competitive.
This is a relentless journey just to complete the application, let alone working hard to improve in all areas of the app, and never slowing down until time has expired on the game clock.
It is after all a competition.....
Good luck

I absolutely agree! Thank you:)

Unless you are a very large football player the mile run is very slow. Many Cadets typically run 2 miles in 13 minutes as part of the APRT. That would be two 6:30 mile runs consecutively. We used to run 8 min miles in formation for 3 or 4 miles at a pop in the Summer. A 7:13 single mile is slow. 50 push ups is on the low side as well. These are things you can improve fairly quickly.

Let's be honest. That CFA needs a little help. Pushups & Pullups need to improve and require nothing but effort to get where they need to be. You don't have to max them but those numbers are very average. The mile isn't that bad but try to get it down a bit. As others have said don't just strive to pass strive to excel , I promise you your competition is. Good Luck .

Mile looks fine. It’s the push ups that need improvement. You can push your luck with the mile run as long as it’s under 8 minutes.

That has been my weakest area. I was only able to do about 30 at one point. I've improved and don't plan to stop improving anytime soon!

The short answer is more than likely, yes.

The numbers won't make anyone say "wow", but it would be more like "yeah, we can work with this one".
That first 7 weeks at the SA is all about physical training. If you're already in top condition, it's a cake walk. If not, it's an ordeal.

LT23. Here’s a workout for you. You don’t have to be the strongest. Nor be a Beast. You can escalate over time and you can make a significant improvement. My DS started with 3 pull ups and 60 push-ups in Sophomore year. So I got him a pull up bar and put him into a daily push-up work up. When ever he walked by the bar he did pull ups. When ever he walked by his room he did pushups to enter and leave his room. Around 20 each set is fine. You don’t have to max out each time. Injury can cause your muscle to weaken and delay your progress. So little and often. Idea is to develop small Bruce Lee muscles that give strength not Hulk muscles. Big muscles look nice but don’t have the stamina and strengths. Big muscles can also slow you down. Thats why you don’t see muscular swimmers and cross country runners.

In his junior year CFA, he did 20 pulls ups, only 18 counts. 88 push-ups. He did more in practice. He’s a Swimmer so he’s light and tall. If you’re heavy even if muscular you may not max out in pull ups. But you can in push-ups. It’s physiology, conditioning and practice not muscle.

You can do it. Just do it every day little at a time. This is what Academies will make you do during Plebe Summer. Often and many repetitions.

23LT more to the point if you're thinking about being a military officer and particularly an Army officer you have to be ready to be a physical leader. That means more than some numbers while wearing workout clothes. You will be expected to lead 18-40 year olds for your first few years in the Army in physically and mentally challenging conditions regardless of branch. That doesn't mean you have to be the fastest but being in the bottom 50% of that group won't cut it. You don't have to make the transition today but that is the goal in your mind. Can I lead Soldiers carrying 100 lbs for 6-8 hours at a given time. On a morning run an officer can't be struggling to keep up if it is the entire organization. That is the mindset you need to start thinking and passing a physical fitness assessment is step one.

I agree. I hate to have excuses, but it was very smoky when I did my run. I did another practice run during clear conditions (mind the fact that it was not after a tiring CFA) and ran 6:45. I have been running everyday since and plan to get that mile down to a 6:30 by next CFA.
