Curious Dad that I am regarding my DD and her potential date with destiny in Jacks Valley, I searched and found two resources regarding JV's confidence/obstacle courses.

One being the Jacks Valley Training Complex Academy Instructions, which states obstacle 15 is off limits to all but the Cadet Wing (CW):

USAFAI 10-208 30 DECEMBER 2020
1.3.1. The confidence course is designed to motivate and build confidence. The confidence course is not time-driven. Team and group leaders should encourage completion, not speed.
1.3.2. Compliance with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 36-2202, Air Force Obstacle Course Program, is mandatory.
1.3.3. The confidence course consists of 18 obstacles, which vary in height and difficulty. Obstacle 15 (The Tilton Hilton), is off-limits to all users except CW. (USAFA/CW, T-3)
1.3.4. Users must have trained facilitators on file with the JVTC NCOIC. Training certifications are valid for three years from date of issue. An additional certification for fall protection must be obtained in order to use Obstacle 15 (The Tilton Hilton). (USAFA/CC, T-2)

And the second was an ArcGIS overview of JVTC, complete with some media of each obstacle, and some examples of how the obstacle is negotiated.

So, I'm curious if Obstacle 15, the "Tilton Hilton" is still used / in effect ? Seems like a rather dastardly way to demonstrate confidence and trust building with your team mates ! Anyone care to share their past experience with that particular obstacle? My mind was put to rest seeing their were some fall nets in place, because at first glance I sat here thinking "Well, dang... how many have they lost on THAT one ?!"

Ok... Now I am curious. I tried to search for some images or diagrams but I had no luck finding any. What is Obstacle 15?

USMC confidence courses have something similar. I can assure you that there were no safety nets

“They were expendable” I guess.
