Okay, so I am not sure if this is most appropriate topic area for this, but since it involves my dad (alumnus USNA '68) I chose this. Super excited for my dad, he just let us know that he will be volunteering at Annapolis teaching leadership at sea. Since sailing is and has been his first love, I am really happy for him. He really was a standout sailor during his time there and the thought of him being able to get mids excited and passionate about sailing makes me really happy. Our DS is a current applicant for 2024. Of course, not making any assumptions about his attending, realize he has to earn an appointment, but should he let his BGO know that potentially he and his grandfather would be there at the same time?
Having sailed and raced with my dad, I can only imagine the terror on the faces of new sailors when my dad lays her over and rounds a buoy!
Thank you again for the solid info on these forums. Immeasurable help for mom.
