I received a 4 year and really like two of the schools. My main choice of GT is extremely competitive and I am worried that if I don't get accepted to GT I could lose my scholarship. If I don't get in GT can I easily move the scholarship to the other school I had previously been offered the scholarship?

TLDR: Can I switch ROTC scholarship to one of the other schools I was awarded if I'm not accepted to school?

No, ROTC command understands admissions decisions aren't out. Put your best school you want to go down, you'll get the official process in the mail but if you don't get admitted, you send a letter of cadet command with an acceptance letter (to your backup school) and a short writing on why you need to transfer this scholarship! You'll be fine!

Go look at the additional information tab on the application website. Open up the link that talks about transfer requests and read it. I think they still send out an offer letter also, that will explain your options. You will be able to request to transfer if you don’t get accepted, and that 4 year offer is likely to help strengthen you file at GT.

My DS didn’t get into his #1 choice. He transferred it to his #2, no problem. The only caveat is that the 2nd choice must have a scholarship slot available.
