My mid just called, his summer class exam was scheduled for 3 hours tomorrow morning. Professor just called, now that tomorrow is a Federal holiday (Juneteenth), the exam was moved to an hour from now.
Talk about scrambling to cram for an exam. Cracked me up.
 
Summer Seminar Session 2B for us right now just got canceled for us tomorrow so now our group has 1 less day of NASS, oh well I guess. I hope that they make it up somehow through another form. 😕

I was wondering about that...
 
I laugh at this…the operational Navy still works because there is a mission to accomplish. I find it odd that the military faculty can’t administer an exam tomorrow, given they can work on the holiday, where civilian counterparts can’t because of overtime. 🤦‍♂️

I completely agree. 16 weeks crammed into three, with a pre determined final exam date and time is altered with an hour notice and for what? The instructor to have a paid Federal Holiday? Conformity with a Fed schedule?
What bothers me more is that there are services on installations that are now not offered tomorrow. The main gate to our installation is now closed tomorrow. The Medical clinic is now closed. What happened to those appointments for Veterans? It isn’t a good look in my opinion
And not well thought out in the short term. But my opinion is free sooooo

Same here. My son received word last night that all programming today is cancelled. Also hoping they can make it up somehow.
 
Probably would of made more sense to sign the legislation for the new holiday today on the actual day. There would of been a year to prepare for it.
I was on the last day of a class comprised of state and federal employees. The federal employees were in disarray.
