My application has already been completed for many weeks as of now, but I would like to know how negatively impacted my chances of admission are without having a varsity letter.
I am currently 3Q'd with a nomination, and I understand that other parts of my application would have to make up for the vacuum, but I am just wondering how competitive I can be.
For a bit of background:
-JV Cross Country for junior and senior year
-Commanded and competed at the national level for JROTC drill team for all four years
-Company XO junior year and Company CO senior year for JROTC
-Commanded the JROTC Cyberpatriots cybersecurity team for junior and senior year
-Went to Boys State
-Participated in NHS
-Treasurer for political club junior and senior year
-President of Rho Kappa (social studies NHS) senior year
-Boy Scouts (up to rank of First Class and was a Patrol Leader)
-Military Officers Association Award in junior year
-Warrant Officers Association Award in sophomore year
-Worked in repairing and installing fences about every two weekends, with various lawn mowing and yard work jobs on the side (10-19 hours a week)
Drill team was an extremely large chunk of my energy and time, so I was unable to fully commit myself to any high school sports enough to reach the highly-competitive varsity level.
Thank you, and I can provide academics if it is needed, but I am not entirely looking for a "chances at admission" answer.
