I guess, it's hard to find my bliss while so much hangs in the balance waiting for admissions to get back to me. I asked my CC for his rec November 2010....
 
it would be nice to know now. i have 25 days of leave to take between outprocessing and packing!

I have 50 days of leave. I doubt I'll have enough time to use it all. Gotta love USAFA admissions.
 
My DS just called, and said he was told he should hear something by next Friday.

Don't know how accurate that is, but that's what he was told.

I totally agree! It'll be like a dam breaking, once the first one posts they got news.

A wise decision indeed.

Honestly, doubt is starting to creep into my thoughts. Not because there haven't been any notifications, but I keep second guessing my qualifications.

Same here man. I keep trying to tell myself that they wouldn't have selected me for the DVP if they didn't want me there but...I've seen the gov't waste a lot of money

If its meant to be it will be. I def don't have the strongest package but I know in my heart that I deserve it and I did the best I could. Regardless of what happeneds we will end up where we belong.


P.S I was at GameStop today and unfortunately nothing caught my eye. Waiting for max Payne 3!

I received a TWE today... From the Naval Academy!

It's because I started an application with them based on the advice from my first shirt, but I never finished it.

In retrospect, it might be a good idea to apply to other academies as enlisted because they'll let you know if you're in a lot sooner than the Air Force Academy. It could be used as a tool to determine your odds with USAFA because lets say you get into USMA or USNA but haven't heard from USAFA, there's a strong chance you will end up getting USAFA.


But yeah, haven't heard from the Air Force Academy yet. :thumb:

I didn't even know we could do that...I don't know if I would receive a nomination with my scores. Unless my Commander's rec counts as one.
 
Yes, your commander would be your nominating source for any Service Academy.
