That's exactly how I felt. I'm deployed right now, so I found out when my portal changed... I even had my friend read it and make sure I wasn't seeing things! I emailed my supervisor and he called me less than a minute later, freaking out. My CC then called a little while later, and I could hear the excitement in his voice. He's an Academy grad who went through the P, and only signed my Rec Letter on the condition that he gets a graduation invitation. It's been a cool experience so far, but now the fun part starts of getting everything in order to leave... FUN.
That's awesome... I didn't consider it until the first time I deployed. I never really thought I would even be CONSIDERED for it, but a Captain I worked with pointed me towards it. I figured if it didn't work out, I would try for SOAR and see what happens.
Anyway... this is still seems surreal. I can't wait to get started!

The portal is what keeps bringing up my confidence that I actually got it. That's our direct link to the AFA. It must be right. Right?
I've been looking at a bunch of videos on YouTube from the Prep School class of 2012 thinking to myself like that's where I'll be in a few months; we'll be making a bunch of videos for the Prep School class of 2013

No. Just the change of Appointment status.
I think they did it that way on purpose, because they are not set up with a website for acceptance yet.
My DS was told by his Commander, last Wednesday. He was told not to say anything though, until the Commander made it official. His Commander was on leave Thursday, so he came and told my DS on Friday, it was official. The portal changed on Thursday though.
So, feels very real!
Now though, time to wait for the paperwork. DS is here, on 2 weeks of leave. He has people checking his mail, to quickly send here, when it comes.
I think I have an emotional hangover, from the anticipation, nerves, and now the appointment.

I don't think they would notify our CC's, change our appointment status, then tell us "It was a mistake, sorry for the inconvenience." Just doesn't sound right... Therefore I'm going to keep believing that I really did get it haha

Same here Paso; meeting with the Wing King at 10:00 am on Thursday... My CC also called my parents yesterday to congratulate them! This is really real life........

Did you get that email from the wing exec? My name was last on the list of appointees. I couldn't tell which one you were, obviously, haha.
I haven't gotten that yet! I haven't heard anything back from the Wing, just from my Squadron CC. Hmmm... I'll PM you, I'm curious now!

Well I saw the emai that the Wing King sent out a few days ago: there were only (2) people listed in his email that he congratulated...I was one of them *hint hint* ... Another email got sent out today?? I didn't check my email today, I was so busy!
