I think that is how it goes. Commander is notified via email. Then your portal will change.
 
I got a call from an unknown number today, but was unable to answer and couldn't call back... It said the number was no longer in service. No voicemail left either.

Anyways i'm driving back to Vegas now. Three hours to go, one more day of leave tomorrow and then it's back to work and hopefully good news.
 
Between work/this news/and my aviation final i have today...my life has become stir-crazy nights and slap-happy zombie mode days.
 
It's my day off and I got a call from my shop today, I was told I had to come in wearing my uniform...Just a another recall lol. :eek3:
 
Ok, seriously, one of us must of gotten in by now...

AFLEADMOM and 2bornot2b are parents of LEAD applicants. A1C Rob, but I haven't seen him post in a while.

I guess that only makes 8. Hmmmm....

So that's only 8 airmen out of X that applied. I wish there were more of us on here so we could get a better view of what's going on.

I haven't heard anything today either. I was thinking maybe I should just be checking for a TWE (knock on wood)

I know my CC wants me to get in almost more than I do. I think I am her progeny.
 
Direct Appointment?

I'm too old to go to the prep school, does anyone else have an idea of how many of us are going for direct appointments?

I'm pretty sure dagger is too old for prep as well. I applied for a direct appointment but I don't think I'll get it.

They aren't giving very many if any at all for LEAD this year. Discouraging, I know.
 
It's up to the CC on the delivery as well. Yours may be waiting for a Commander's call.

I don't think there will be many, if any, direct entry appointments of any sort, until later in the month, after AFA has evaluated how many offers have already been accepted, and how many of the offers made with 1 May deadlines for acceptance are still outstanding. As those numbers are firmed up, those that have been waitlisted will start to get offers, I believe. It may be that LEAD direct entry offers, if any, will not be made until after May 1.

Insider mentioned last week, however, that we could expect Prep and Falcon offers (to new candidates, not currently in the AFA Prep school or on Falcon Scholarship) this week. There are 240 slots at the AFA Prep school and I understand that approx. 50 to 100 Falcon Scholarships are offered each year.

Here's hoping for good news!
 
I was out all morning, and just got back on line. Was really hoping to hear something from someone.

Hoping for something soon. Before my head explodes...:blowup:
