Leaders Encouraging Airmen Development

Well seeing as though I actually got an appointment which I didn't think for a second would happen... My life is going to change very very very fast. I'm in for the ride though; we signed up for this!!!
 
Crashing for tonight. I don't know how much sleep I'm going to get though...
 
Checked portal once more before i finally passed out and of course it's syncing now
 
No updates

If my portal hasn't updated at this point does that mean I'm out?
 
Portal Updated with an appointment to the Prep School! Congrats to all others that made it as well and hopefully more great news come along for others.
 
DS is going to the P!

talked to my son this morning. Portal says Appointment to Prep!:biggrin::biggrin:
 
My DS called me yesterday, and told me his commander came and told him he was offered a Prep school spot. But he told me I was sworn to secrecy, because it wasn't official yet. I thought I was going to pass out, since I couldn't tell anyone.

His portal updated this morning. He's in!!!!

First, I ought to say congratulations to all that have been accepted to the P school so far. As far as I know you (or your DS/DD) are all very deserving individuals who will excel.

My portal did not update this morning, and I am honestly confused and disappointed. According to all my sources, I had an excellent package. It wasn't just the academics, but also plenty of sports and leadership experience. I was actually told to "Prepare for direct entry", by a Lt Col who had been an ALO for years, but since there are going to be little to no direct entries this year I think it's safe to say I'm out of the running. I will definitely be contacting my ALO and possibly my counselor to determine what I can do to improve my overall standing next year.

Luckily I don't have all my eggs in one basket, and now I can return my complete focus to my current enlisted career field.

Thank you all, I will probably be a lot less active on the forums from now on. Good luck to all!

Hang in there! don't lose hope as there is still a possibility for a Direct Entry appointment. Admissions just does not know where they are right now and won't until after May 1. Best of luck to you!

I agree. Hang in there! You may get a direct appointment yet.

I was honestly struggling with posting about my DS, because I'm thinking of everyone here still waiting for news. Maybe it's the mom in me, but I'm really pulling for all of you.

Keep the faith. It's not over yet!!!
