Legacy Question

Is it advisable to notify my MALO officers that my grandfather was a graduate of WP or will they already have that on file? Should I also notify them that my family funds an art scholarship at the academy? I know WP does value legacy to some extent, but I was unsure whether or not to mention it (at the risk of sounding conceited). Thanks!

IMHO: West Point knows this information. Talking about it to your MOC sounds like you are trying to buy your way in. Just my $.02.

It is fine to say that your grandfather graduated--presumably the family history is part of what motivates your interest. Definitely do not mention the connection to the scholarship--virtually impossible to do without sounding crass.
