I just received a letter a few minutes ago on my portal saying that the admissions committee has deemed I am qualified both academically and in physical aptitude. Does this just mean I am officially being considered?

As in a LOE (Letter of encouragement)?

A LOE encourages the completion of the application nothing more. Since the application deadline is today the LOE is moot.

If it contains language similar to "rolling admissions has ended for this period.....placed on National Wait List...." it is a 3Q letter.

But the qualification portion normally says "the admissions committee has qualified your file" and does not refer to only academic and physical.

This is similar to a 3 Q letter that doesn’t indicate you are medically qualified. Once you are medically qualified you will be placed on the NWL. It is good news.

According to my FFR, I’m fully qualified in all categories + nom, but I haven’t received a 3Q letter, is this something to worry about?

Would it be permissible for me to email my Regional Commander and ask if I am officially qualified? I haven’t received a letter, but I did just add my transcript on Wednesday, so I’m not expecting one any time soon. Everything on my portal is green and I’m medically qualified with a nom.

I emailed my FFR, but he hasn’t replied. I would like to get a confirmation before the week is over, but I don’t want to pester anyone; I know they are extremely busy.

Not all candidates will get a 3Q letter. Depends on if the RC does that.

6th grade ??? :bleh2:
our son broke his arm badly, 6th grade. Both bones, 3 surgeries. We were wholly prepared to have to deal with a remedial on that. The ways and whys of DODMERB are complex. Just do as asked and in a timely fashion.

My DS received the same letter. He reached out to his Regional Commander because the letter read a little differently than the LOA he received in late December. The Regional Commander called it "The Qualified Letter" he said the letter is to inform him that his application is complete, as far as everything my DS can control. The only thing admissions is waiting for is his medical.

Good luck to him!

How long ago did he receive it? Also, what region are you in?
