Loa with Nomination.

So I have just received a nomination from my senator and I have received a letter of Assurance this past September! I am so excited to be one step closer to becoming Mid next July!!
I do have a question regarding this though. Does the LOA guarantee a letter of Appointment with all of my package complete, or will I still be competing with other candidates in the appointment process. And what if there is more than one person with my Senator's nomination with an LOA. How does the Academy determine who gets the appointment if there is only one vacancy for the congressman. Thanks!
 
With an LOA and a nom, you're guaranteed an appointment if you complete your app, pass the CFA and are qualified medically (and don't do anything really, really stupid b/t now and I-Day).

Don't worry to whom your appointment is assigned -- that's USNA's issue, not yours and there's little chance you'll ever know for sure.
