LOA

I agree with @TexasAggie204 . That doesn't mean another parent would be wrong to feel differently. Our DD attended civilian college and there was a lot to navigate for both of us. She is all grown up and doing great now.
Our DS is applying to 4 SA's and received NROTC to Norwich. The thought of him being on the other side of the country and managing on his own of course makes me nervous. But knowing that Plan A, B and C involve a military community who will look out for one another brings me peace of mind. What he does for the next 9 years can be stressful and I know we will see less of him than if he went civilian. But he wants to serve and lead and this has been his goal for years. This forum alone brings me some comfort reading about sponsor families and other cadets and mids reaching out to help newbies and prospects. Just this mom's 2 cents.
Oh, and a huge congrats to the OP for the LOA!

Our DS received his LOA letter last week and our Senator called him at school to congratulate him on his nomination. It’s been a happy few days in our house, but our DS knows that the true celebration doesn’t start until he receives a BFE!
Congratulations! DS received his LoA early October. Application is complete waiting on Nom.
