LOAs for Class of 2025

If you've had an LOA for a while and have been found qualified for everything, how long after nomination should you expect to receive an appointment?

Yes. It lets you know you are assured appointment if you meet last standards - pass medical and get nom.

Yes, my son received the same message on 12 December and still waiting on the BFE.

For the lucky recipients, could you please post the date you started to the app, and the date you heard about your LOA (or just how much time passed from the time of starting the app until you got the good news), and which region of the country. Any scores/stats, ECs and leadership you are comfortable sharing would also be interesting to know.

I started my application as soon as it was available to be opened. I heard about my LOA in October of 2020. The defining moment was submitted my ACT scores because my test had been postponed several times. At that point, my interview was complete. I had only submitted my transcripts, my records that are at the top of the application, and 2 or 3 of my SOE's along with my ACT scores. I got a 27 on my first ACT and a 29 on my second (super scored: math-25, english-28, reading-35, science-32, writing-8). I am in the Great Lakes region. I am involved in softball, NHS, volunteer club, youth in government and I am a leader in a mental health advocacy group. I have now completed my file with the exception of nominations and medical status. Nominations don't come out for another week or so in my area, and medical status is not due until April even with the LOA.
