Lost Access to Portal?

I went to check my application status this morning and the portal would not let me log in and gave the message "Online Applications Are Closed And Will Re-Open on May 1st for The Class of 2027." Does anyone know what this means?

My DS got the same thing about an hour ago. It was in under review status at 8amEST.

Seems to happen annually as USMMA seeks to reset the portal to allow applications into the new class. This will resolve in a few days. Here is the thread from LAST CYCLE:

I'm starting my application, and my email is the only thing showing up on my portal. I can't go into any other part of the portal screen without an error occurring. Is anyone else experiencing this?

My DS portal stated "under review" before the reset. I guess its safe to assume he will not receive an appointment at this point? Maybe notified via email or snail mail?

It is not safe to assume that. This process does not erase things or mean the end of portal usage. It is a basic system and there are humans pulling on the strings behind the curtain. Sadly, this IT system is a low priority for them but your only view into the machine. Don't read much into this. USMMA has a ways to go in their admissions cycle.

I am glad that my son was able to accept his appointment before this glitch.

Same thing happened to my son. He had just received an email from the congressman's office stating he received a sponsored prep school spot and then when he went to log in and accept it, he couldn't get in. I told him to keep trying each day and if it's still not working he should call on Monday.
