Just got home from work to see my beautiful baby boy has been online thru the day and is holding it together - so proud of you son no matter what:thumb: He's in meetings after school today for Student Senate so I guess I'll take over for the afternoon shift of refreshing.

Congrats to those who have gotten their INCREDIBLE news.

Is it too early to break out the vino????

It took about 2 weeks at the most to get the letter from the date the status changed for my son back in November. We heard from the ROO's from his #1 school before the letter arrived.

Has your status changed, did you get the "You have been awarded a Scholarship" message.

Your DD should email the ROO Maj Dollar Link he will hook her up with other female cadets to see about possible roommates. He got my DS facebooked with the other male freshman cadets, they are texting/planning constantly.
Visited campus last month, DS was told to plan on 'a big bunch' of highly motivated walk-on cadets.

Yipeeeee :) I got it!!! Hopefully it's a four year to NC State but I'll be perfectly happy with a 3 year to UNCC.:biggrin:
 
Has anyone that received the DODMERB packet on Friday April 8th, been one of the one's awarded a scholarship in the last few hours? Please let me know if you have. We too are sitting on pins and needles. Thank you!:smile:
 
Congrats to those who have heard already. Do you know how long it can take to post results? This is first (only) board for my son and so we don't have any idea about timelines. We're hoping for good news as he has very high stats and a great interview. He also received the DoDMERB letter this week.

I've seen it take 2 days. Clarkson will advise when all the letters are going out which means the fat lady has sung.

If you don't recieve the scholarship, will it tell you on the website or does it just stay the same?
 
So I went to CC facebook page and asked if the online status will change if they do DOT receive a scholarship. They said that a person will receive notice by mail before their online status changes...now what am I supposed to think??
 
My status always used to just say "you have been selected for an interview please contact a professor of military science at the school of your choice"

BUT... i just checked it after i saw postings on here that people's statuses have changed and i noticed something was added to the status. it now reads:

"You are currently an active eligible applicant for an Army ROTC Scholarship. If all of the items below have been received then we have everything in order for your file to be reviewed by the Board.

Transcript: Received
SAT/ACT Scores: Received
Interview: Received
Physical Fitness Test: Received
School Choice: Received
Academic Major: Received
Medical: Not Received

You have been selected for an interview. Please contact the Professor of Military Science at the school of your choice."

I don't know about you but this seems like a bad thing. Anyone else seeing this????

The basic page changed a few days agao. We all have this, unless you have been offered a scholarship. The line about the interview with PMS is where the new change will occur if you are offered a scholarship. Hope you and my DS get to see that one!!

Status change is first -- has been for a lot of boards. The OFFICIAL letter is the final absolutely you can spend the college fund notice. :wink:

They want you to understand that until the letter is in your hot little hands with your name in ink on it that it "could be" a computer error. So, take anything changing on your status page with that in mind. I'll party if we get a change, but no money spent until the letter comes.:biggrin:
