Massachusetts Maritime Academy will be at the San Diego Maritime Science Expo 14 & 15 November 2009.

Thanks to the gracious efforts of MMA Parent Michele Burke, MMA will have an exhibition table at this exciting event.

In conjunction with its institutional partners including the Birch Aquarium, NOAA, Ocean Discovery Institute, San Diego County Office of Education, San Diego Science Alliance, SPAWAR and others, The Maritime Alliance is holding a Maritime Science Expo to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and particularly related to marine and ocean sciences.

The Expo is open to San Diego students of all levels, and registration is free. Non-profit organizations and institutions, as well as governmental agencies and private and public companies are also welcome to exhibit educational displays relating to maritime and marine technology. Donations are being solicited from companies and private donors to support scholarship and internship opportunities for inner city youth.

The 2009 Maritime Science Expo will be held at the B Street Cruise Ship Terminal - FREE admission

Nov. 14: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm; Nov. 15: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
