Thank you for that insight. When I told my current BGO I was planning to turn down my USMMA appointment in order to apply to USNA again next year... he told me that he did not encourage that. Instead, he encouraged me accepting my USMMA appointment and applying to Navy again next year if I still wanted to. I understood his reasoning but didn't think the academies would like it.
I had also read some of the past threads that indicated it would not be advisable to try this, so I was surprised when my BGO told me this. I wanted to find out definitively: Has the aforementioned "Mid willing to answer questions" heard of any "academy transfer" if you want to call it that.
Unfortunately, I'm with what was said earlier. I haven't heard of anyone recently doing this.

They're difficult if your someone who doesn't understand the material well when it comes to chemistry. The English exam is just an essay on a quick reading they give you. While it's nice to validate classes, its not the end of the world if you don't. The academy wants you to succeed academically so just trust the process if you don't validate. The math exams are taken before you arrive on I day unless they've changed they're styled like online math homework. Hope this helps!
As far as I'm aware you can do all D1 sports we have available, along with those there are intramurals like soccer, flag football or something else as the rotate every semester. Over the summer you can try out for the Offshore Sailing team which is unique. As for the rock wall, it is available during the AC year during sports period, but I'm not sure about over plebe summer.
There's plenty of opportunities to have fun while at USNA. Granted your version of fun might change when you come. There are many colleges around the Annapolis area that are fun to go to. I personally have friends that go to Johns Hopkins so I go over there a lot. We're also close to DC and there is many concerts and other events that they have. Last semester I got to go to the Post Malone concert with friends from my company. If you manage your time well there is plenty of opportunities to go out and have fun and unwind from the grind even without a car (Uber becomes your best friend). As for Sundays as a plebe, you can sleep in Monday mornings because of holiday routine to allow people to go to church services during the AC year.

1. I personally had a 0600 report time and I was able to unpack and set up my room, my roommate had a late report time around 0900 and he missed lunch and didn't have time to unpack before the oath of office but he was fine as we all helped him get ready that Sunday. Also eat a good breakfast before you come in!
I personally wasn't a napster so I can't speak on advice for naps. But the ones in my company made plebe summer so much easier for me at the beginning with the help and insight they provide. Most of the time they're great people but if you want advice feel free to PM me and I can send you what my plebe said as she went to NAPS!
