Missing First Board

With all the time I’ve spent on academy, nomination, and EA school applications, it’s going to be extremely difficult (if not impossible at this point) for me to get board ready by the first board. Are chances of getting a scholarship drastically higher for first board applicants, or will I still be fine if I get my application in for the second board? To provide a bit of reference on my application strength, I currently have an LOA from West Point.

You'll be fine. I think the first board hands out the smallest number of scholarships of all the boards. Being on the first board increases opportunities for a scholarship but plenty of folks don't get their stuff in until the second or even the third board. If you have an LOA from West Point I expect you'll be competitive for a ROTC scholarship. It's never a guarantee though since the competition is national and not based on geography.
