What happens if I'm missing one of my SOE forms? My physics teacher refuses to complete it because he thinks that this is a form that can be completed by any teacher. I'm trying to convince him otherwise, but if I can't what will happen if I'm missing one of my SOE forms, is my application just done for and should I just forget about applying? Also, does the form have to be completed by a physics/chemistry teacher that actually taught the course to me, because my Science Research teacher teaches chemistry, but I didn't have her personally for chem. Can I have her complete the form or does it have to be completed by a teacher that actually taught me that course.

I think you should try and talk to your teacher at lunch and very thoughtfully articulate why this is important and how he is the only teacher that can fill this out for you. If that does not work go to your guidance counselor and describe the situation so they can talk to your teacher and hopefully explain to him why this is needed and the importance of it for West Point, which is not just a regular college.

Is the other option I mentioned allowed? Unfortunately, my school is shut down due to COVID so the only way I can communicate with this teacher is via email. He also has Asperger's which makes communication somewhat difficult. I'm currently speaking to my guidance counselor about this, but if in the end I cannot get somebody to complete just this one SOE (I have the 3 others completed), will my application be ineligible and will I be unable to apply.

Your application will not be complete if you do not have all of the SOE's by the deadline of Jan 31. I think your guidance counselor will figure this issue out and work with you to help get the SOE complete. I do not know if the other option is allowed, read the pdf on the candidate portal and scroll to the SOE section, if you cannot find a definitive answer there email your FFR detailing your situation and asking for their advice, but do this if you absolutely cannot get the SOE from your physics teacher. I am sure this issue will be resolved with the help of your counselor.
