MO NROTC 2nd board results

Where you able to apply to for both a Navy and a Marine scholarship? We were told we could not.

That is total BS. Who told you that? If it is a recruiter they need to be disciplined and disciplined harshly.

A harsh punishment for a Marine would include singing the Navy hymn while hugging a goat. And please send the link of the video recording. Doing push ups for Marines is like asking a gambler to play no limit hold em. Not really a punishment. 😎

Thank you for the ideas... DS is heading down MO road and now I have some tools to coerce him to my will other than taking away his crayons!

This is an example of what the portal should transition to as the results come out. My point was that there may be an intermediate change in the portal prior to the winner status being posted. Sorry for the fuzzy image, but usually the schools are listed on the winner screen. This example was from 2017 - so things may have changed.

So if my DS screen looks like this and the schools are listed, are you saying there is a good chance that it is a winner?
 
Ref MO NROTC application this year:

I posted this...
The status on my kid's application updated from "Your application is at the regional board" to the dreaded "No decision has been made" category and listed preferred colleges and stuff.
This doesn't knock him out for the second board but is disappointing.

Then this:
Reading it closer it says "The NSTC Selection/Placement Office has received your application." Is this different than getting rolled over to the next board?

Then a phone call led to this:

DS got the 4 year MO NROTC scholarship!

He doesn't know yet. The Marine officers are coming to his school tomorrow with "the Big Check".

As a retired Marine, horrific punishment would be listening to hours and hours of lectures on safety and sensitivity training during a safety stand-down.

The school you were awarded the scholarship was not on your list of 5? If so, I would call the MOI tomorrow to see if they have room. That's odd for MO. Congrats on the scholarship!
