I know there have been many discussions on this topic...but DS knew he had MOC nomination about a month ago. We enjoyed that news and didn't think much about the applications outstanding to our senators, since at least he had a nom. Now, tonight, he got phone calls from BOTH senator offices within an hour of each other that he was also receiving their nominations. Wow!! Since he is considered on all 3 slates, that does increase his chances of an appointment, right?
 
In a way, yes. He'll compete separately on each slate (usually of 10) candidates before going to the national waiting list where he will compete against everyone else. It's sort of like having 3 lottery tickets instead of just one.
