I want to study Cybersecurity and I've gotten offers from USNA and USAFA
I got accepted to NAPS and the Falcon scholarship for USAFA. I haven't heard anything back from AFROTC. I think I'd have a better time in the Air Force but I got the impression that NAPS had more legitimacy; almost guaranteeing an appointment next year. I researched the prep schools for USAFA and was looking for more information on the northwestern prep in California if anyone has had experience with that I'd appreciate it. Would either branch more suitable for my major?

Cyber is a big priority at USNA now (There is a new building dedicated to Cyber warfare being built), That being said., I don't know anything about Air Force programs, and I suspect that Navy and Air Force are competing to be the lead agency for Cyber Warfare. I would recommend that you do some research online to determine which branch will eventually take the lead, and pursue that service.

Just my typically worthless opinion, but I think they will all be involved in cyber, perhaps different aspects, but will all be involved. There are two sides to cyber, attack and defense, and each side has multiple systems to deal with. I'm sure the AF isn't going to be spending time on how to attack a ship's systems. Just my two cents.

In any case it certainly doesn't hurt to research cyber in each service as I expect they are different in assignments, cultures, and locations.
