DoDMERB shows SubAgency: NALOA with an Admissions Status Date Change of 9-NOV-2009.

Is this an "LOA" and if so, will a letter be forthcoming?

Hey dude, that's pretty cool. I just checked mine and I have the same since 9-Nov-2009. Does anybody know if this is an official LOA? Thing is, I'm pending a medical waiver, so I don't know what's happening...

Well, I can only say it from the other perspective. My son has an LOA to the Naval Academy and checked later and his Dodmerb does say SubAgency: NALOA! I'd say...yes! :thumb:

And LOA has nothing to do with a medical waiver so that wouldn't make a difference.

So my myopia is off the regulation by about -.50 in one eye and -1.00 in the other.

Are my chances of getting a medical waiver pretty good?

If Im granted a medical waiver does that mean Im qualified or does that mean I still have to submit the waiver to get approved and then qualified?

Just like Marcemi's son, my son has an LoA to USNA. He was told about his LoA to USNA in August and his DoDMERB file showed NALOA SubAgency "qualified" dated sometime in early September. Interestingly though, he also has LoAs to USAFA and USMA, but they don't show up as SubAgencies on DoDMERB.

Euglena92, your question will be best answered by sending email to Larry Mullens from DoDMERB. Good luck to you!

What is the website of DODMERB? For some reason, I can't seem to link to it on my computer. Thanks!
