July 5th….waitlist accepted. I know the sand is running through the hourglass…I’m hungover from my embracing 12 ounce cans of liberty last night….but son was once again Dudley Doright. Bring on the urine tests, official offer, or white envelope! Let’s get to the end….and the new beginning!

Odd question about the waitlist process, maybe someone can answer... do they pull, request, the high school transcript after February? Just curious about the process. Thank you in advance!

Still thinking of you daily @Kentucky9 ! 🤞 good news is coming!!

In regards to my son….they have not requested information that he improved his ACT math, finished hs with all A’s, and graduated with 12
college hours and three college welding hours. Truthfully not a word.

As of 7-8-2023 “Waitlist accepted.” What’s important is that he is at https://warriorridge.org/ committed to helping the cause. Has been there 9 consecutive days doing all he can to insure the first reunion with an everything it can be.
The shower house and bunkhouse will be ready!

Keeping a vigilant eye out here for you. This tells you ISNA wants to get him if if they can.

BTW….are there other forum members who accepted waitlist, as reported here, that’s are still on it? I know it’s not an all inclusive list, but wondering about representation here.

Every time this thread pops up to the top of my feed, my heart skips a beat! Fingers crossed!!
Thanks for the empathy….I don’t mean to drag anyone down :). Maybe it’s a coping mechanism for me, beats many alternatives.

If he is called at this time, our zip code will be represented well. Being into History as I am, I may very well seek the answer to if anyone from our zip code has ever attended USNA, either way it goes.

FWIW - last week the Chief in charge of NAPS paperwork sent out an email to a fairly large amount of recipients stating NAPS had not received their active orders from enlistment. Our DD had to send him a copy of her's - appears the enlistment offices dropped the ball on many. Also, I assume there were some folks who had not enlisted by July 1st - as I stated earlier one way of dropping out?? If this is the case, there is still hope for an opening ;)

My son is still on the WL. Presently he’s in Great Lakes at NSI session 2 for his NROTC scholarship. Prior to leaving he passed me his password to logon and check for him. To date, still showing NAPS waitlist accepted. Personally I think the admissions office have forgotten about the last few still on WL (assuming there’s a relatively small number still in WL status.). My wife and I are disappointed it appears he won’t even get the courtesy of a TWE. His Plan B is solid- College of Engineering at Texas A&M, Corps of Cadets with NROTC Scholarship. For a while, he was holding out mentally for NAPS but he wisely moved on and is stoked to report to the Corps on 12 August. Have appreciated the camaraderie in this forum.

I do hope the shortcoming of the enlistment office is the exception and not the rule.

I’m so very sorry to hear that.

Yes he will. And it’s that same attitude that kept him to the very last minute, that they had to say ‘not this year’.

Refocus. Regroup. And come back with vigor if that’s his choosing. God speed.
