On the Naval Academy Application, it asks "*Have you ever been cited, arrested, convicted or fined for any violation of any law or ordinance?" I got a minor moving violation earlier this year for failure to yield, but I took a driving class and got it taken off my record( i think), Should I go ahead and report this on this question or do tickets not count? I'm probably overthinking it; I just want to make sure. Thanks in advance.

A moving violation is a citation of violating traffic laws. I would report it. That said, it is very minor and shouldn't be a show stopper by any means. Nobody's a perfect driver and also you've been driving at best for ~2 years. Failure to yield also doesn't indicate a lack of judgement ( you weren't going 100 thru a school zone for example). Contrary to popular belief, USNA is not full of perfect people. More than a few MIDNs have a blemish to some degree in their prior life.

Now, I'm curious as to how many questions on the application are integrity checks since stuff like that can be looked up.

Lol During his MOC interview, one of the guys looked over my son’s application and said “I am looking over your transcript and the only question I have for you - it says here you got an 85 in driver’s education. Do you want to tell the Naval Academy you don’t know how to drive, or do you want us to tell them.”
