NAVYMOM2018...I'm in 'information gathering' mode!

I just joined the Forum in an effort to connect with families who have sons/daughters attending NAPS and USNA.

My son will be heading to Rhode Island mid-July. He made the choice to attend NAPS, after hearing many positive remarks about it. He hopes it will make for a smoother transition to USNA ~ both academically & athletically. I hope other families have found this to be true.

Do you have any words of advice to pass along?
I'm in 'information gathering' mode --- who better to share the 'Dos and Don'ts' than those who have actually been thru it?!?

I'm incredibly excited about the journey our family is about to embark on, but a bit anxious as to what to expect...

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Congrats to your son. NAPS is definitely worth snagging if you get the offer. I hope your son likes cold windy weather... :yllol:

This year there were a lot more prior enlisted than they had last year. Assuming this continues, there will be about one prior enlisted per each suite (of two rooms with two people per each room). Pay attention to the priors. They generally know better than directs.
