However, you have the option of obtaining more information and submitting it to DODMERB on your own with the cost following on your own shoulders. My daughter had a DQ because of a high astigmatism in the left eye. We completed two additional examinations, one out of pocket, and one through a military provider. Both came back within "normal" astigmatism guidelines. I suggest requesting the results of all your medical documents submitted to DODMERB. You can request this in writing and scan and submit through email. Then, you would know for sure what you are facing in the future.My DS needs a new eye exam I know he got the first one for free as it was his first one and we believe his eye exam was messed up. So does anyone know what it would cost to get a new one so we know what to expect.
