Hello everyone, my name is Tim and I am a proud parent of an academy hopeful! My daughter currently in "anxiously waiting" mode. She just received a principle nomination from our senator last Friday (USNA) but hasn't heard anything from Navy. She is also considering USMA thru a possible nomination from our congressman. After following and encouraging her along this incredibly difficult journey, we are all hopeful for a positive conclusion to this process! Our whole family has been collectively holding our breath for what seems like an endless year. We are not a "military" family, as she will be the first to enter without being drafted! We are very proud of her, and honestly believe at least two of her sisters may someday follow the trail she is blazing. She would enter with her eyes wide open. She has visited Army as a recruited athlete and done the summer session at Navy. She absolutely loved both experiences, and knows fully well what a tremendous honor and privilege attending either academy would entail. She did secure an ROTC scholarship should she not get "in" but we are really, really hopeful she doesn't need it. That's it from a nervous family in rural Pennsylvania! Thanks
