So I managed to increase my 24 ACT score to a 26 (E 26, M 27, R 26, SR 26). Is this a good score for the Academy?

I believe, if I have the right sources, that the average ACT is 27 high of 30 and low of 25. Dunno if this will help.

Says who?
40% of last year's class had your scores.
Whole candidate score = 60% academics (1/2 Test Scores, 1/2 class rank), 30% Leadership ( 1/3 SOEs, 1/3 ECs, 1/3 Athletics) and 10% CFA.
Therefore - your test scores count for 30% of the WCS.
Important? Absolutely- but not there's more to an offer of appointment than test scores.
What does the rest of your file look like? Are you strong in the other 70% of the WCS areas?

That said - the very best way to increase your chances right now is to take the ACT again. You still have time. Sign up for the Dec 10 test. Buy a prep book. If budget allows, take a prep class. If not - go to March2success.com . Free on-line prep for ACT or SAT sponsored by the Army. Highly recommended by West Point.
Have you tried SAT? If not -take it. You may score better than on ACT.
West Point will evaluate you based on which test benefits you the most.

Don't despair! You still have time to improve your file. Report every accomplishment, leader role, activities that you have received or done since you completed your file.
But retake the ACT or try the SAT if you haven't.
