LImomof2: Awwwww. MY DS is in 4th co (just back from sea). However, *I* remember his Indoc, and waiting ALL day for the call that never came.
These kids are being shaped... and part of the lesson is underscoring that phone communications are a privilege (earned), not a RIGHT. We were wayy bummed, but he's survived, and 4th company is just a great team.
PS. When they get their computer, email will make things a lot easier.... although, YOU need to continue to MAIL things... These kids LOVE it when they go to their post box and SOMETHING/ANYTHING is in it.
PPS. Although TONS of people use it, IM/SKYPE/etc can be REAL 'time wasters'. 15 minutes of clock time can zip past, in what could have been a 2 minute phone conversation.
The BIGGEST lesson for them to learn is TIME MANAGEMENT. It is REALLY hard, if not impossible, to 'catch back up'.
