I took my CFA 3 weeks ago and sent the results to WP. I emailed them yesterday and asked when it would be reviewed, and they replied that it already was reviewed but I had to have my file qualified before it would turn green. I really want to know if I passed my CFA and I was hoping someone here could help my figure out a way to find my results. Here is how I scored, I'm concerned about the BBall throw. I'm a male. If you can tell me if I passed, please let me know.
BBall: 52 ft
Pull-ups: 14
Shuttle Run: 9.4
Sit-ups: 95
Push-ups: 66
1-mile: 6:34

Thank you

I believe the BB throw is just above the minimum score for males. The rest of your scores are good. Keep in mind that the video you submit will ultimately tell the tale of how many pull-ups and push-ups are actually scored.

BB Throw for males is 50' minimum. The Master of the Swords reviews the videos and counts the good ones. If the pull-up and push-up numbers hold then you are good to go.

What do you mean by "have my file qualified"? I'm curious because I submitted my CFA a few days ago and the rest of my file is complete. I'm wondering how long it will take before I get a checkmark for CFA.

Your video has to be reviewed for compliance with the video format and scored for acceptable reps, then integrated with your other submitted scores. That takes a human being sitting down and focusing on just that, not multi-tasking. That person may or may not be the one who enters related data and toggles the “done button” decision in the database. There may also be system update time between data entry and applicant-facing portal update. As we head into September soon, the queue of data to be entered will only get longer.

Keep your fingers crossed for the video. Every year we see posts from applicants who were told they needed a do-over on the video, because of failure to follow instructions to the letter. Their score may also have dropped due to reps not being counted as acceptable.

But - stay positive, be patient, spend time on your alternate plan preps, enjoy the present, because you have done well to get your application in by the end of Aug. please reassure us you have applied for a the VP nom?

Thank you for this. I had my FFO proctor my CFA, so I am not too worried about reps. I did 75 pushups and 18 pull ups in well under the two minutes. I'm just hoping I maintain those numbers! My nomination source is service connected. I have an LOA as well, so I will not be applying to any other source. Thanks again!

Good to know you have an LOA, and you know the difference between an LOA and an LOE. In an excess of caution, you may want to confirm, if you haven’t already done so, with an official source you have no need to apply for any other nomination. The USMA website recommends all applicants apply for as many nominations as they are eligible for. In a process as complex as this, never assume - that’s how a prudent future junior officer operates.

Yes, this is a good idea. In my LOA it is stated that admissions has reserved a cadetship contingent upon my CFA. So that is where my confidence with nominations is coming from. I will definitely make sure, however.

You would kick yourself mightily if you inadvertently put yourself in scramble mode. One of the reasons the SAs ask applicants to do this is because that gives them multiple places to “charge” the appointment. Appointments charged to Presidential and other service-connected noms have numerical caps per class. Unlimited noms can be given to those eligible, but only a certain number of appointments can be charged to those nom sources. The LOA may well override that general guidance in your case, but you’ll feel better confirming it.
