I apologize if this has already been asked, but if we don't receive a scholarship for this round, will they let us know or will our status just stay the same?
Congratulations! Now the hard part begins. Stay in shape, keep the grades up, and keep your nose clean. You don't have the scholarship until you pass the PFT.I received a new status a few hours ago and I received it.
Congratulations! You have so much to be proud of ! Best wishes in your journey!I received a new status a few hours ago and I received it.
I assume by RN NROTC you mean Nursing. The selection process is quite different. They have their own boards and at most there is one in the autumn and another in the Spring. I think some years there is only one board but don't hold me to that. So... you will not be hearing along with the regular Navy Option applicants. Also, if you applied to the RN NROTC is the selection process different than regular NROTC? Thanks.
Okay, thanks. Any idea why they have less boards?I assume by RN NROTC you mean Nursing. The selection process is quite different. Because they need fewer nurses than line officers? Marines are the same way, just two boards.Okay, thanks. Any idea why they have less boards?I assume by RN NROTC you mean Nursing. I don't know this, but I expect at least BIG Navy doesn't get to them all in one of their boards just due to the number of applicants. That's why early is better. They will review everything at the last board. Again, just my surmise. I wouldn't venture a guess on Marines and Nurses.Do they review all completed applications at boards, or do they defer applications to later board dates after they have reached their quota?
Been knicker wadding since early October! Older son was notified on December 7, 2012 and his application was completed in October of that year.
Current HS Senior had application complete in August, mirror image GPA, EC's, and curriculum of his older brother at same school.
He also has better test scores and was voted captain of Varsity Swim team.
Has the environment changed that much in three years?
