I am applying for a nomination from Senator Udall, CO. I began working on his application in the Spring of 2010. I downloaded his nomination application packet from his website and began working on the four required essay questions that were to be one page in length. I finished the essays about a month ago, but when I went on his website afterwards I found out that he had changed the essays to be limited to 3 pages in length.

I was just wondering if I should rewrite my essays to make them longer or if I should just turn in my one page responses? Will it hurt me to only turn in a page long essay?

Follow the exact directions on the web site. If they want three pages, give them three pages.

If the website says the LIMIT is 3 pages, that doesn't mean you must write 3 pages. It means you shouldn't write more than 3 pages. If you have said all you need to say in a single page, there is no need to add 2 pages of "fluff." If, now knowing you have 2 more pages and feel there is more you want to say, then go ahead and add more.
