Reviewing DSs nomination essays today, as he wants to submit them. Usually when we edit his work for school, or did, as a senior he doesn't ask for help anymore, we have to help him be more detailed . Now we are frantically helping him take out superfluous words. My goodness, 250 words covering four topics in one question is tough! Thankfully my favorite word in the English language is laconic!

I hear you: I had 5 for one senator; 1 for another senator; 6 for my MOC. And then add the academy essays and it’s a lot!

The good thing is that some ask the same questions, if not something related. This allows them to not have to write each essay separately but put information from one senator/MOC essay to another. Makes life a little easier.

It definitely helps that they can "double up" the essays, and sort of tweak them to make them work for more than one app. I was more talking about how SHORT the "essays" are, given the complex questions or statements. 250 words is about ten sentences. He just submitted the one due October 2nd. Moving on to the 9th one!

my DD’s MOC has 2 essays to complete, both must be a full page!

Mine didn't have a limit for the sentor with 9. The other two only also asked for one thankfully and the Vice was only one ( and I was able to double up on that one.) For the sentor with nine one of my "essays" was actually only a sentence long because it answered the question and I was able to hit home with the one sentence. More words just to make it longer would have ruined it

I submitted mine this Tuesday to Duckworth as well, good luck!
