I took my SAT for the first time two weeks ago, just got my score a few days ago, and sadly the score is below the average (not too far though, yikes). I want to send my nominations request letter ASAP, but I do not like the score I have. What should I do? (btw, the next time I'll be taking the SAT is in August)

Why are you waiting until August? You are allowed to take them anywhere they are offered.
There is a June 2nd test that you can late register up till May 23rd.

My parents know that there's the next test in June 2, but I have an event that is already planned for that day. Also, they told me to take a break after the May 5 test, but I don't have time for that (I need to get the testing over with!).

First, The average SAT score is just that. Around half (not quite right but close enough) are above and half are below. If you're just a bit below then you can go ahead and submit them. I'm sure you can resubmit when you raise your score on a subsequent test. Don't take my word though... check with the MOCS office. I know the academies will allow you to resubmit. Do prep work for your next SAT. If you've already done prep work... then do MORE!

It is great to start working on your nomination packet early, but their is no reason to submit it in May. I would assume that your MOC has many different things they want to see and you should take your time to make sure you submit the best application possible. MOCs usually have a deadline in the fall and their nominations are not due until January 2019 so you have some time.
