nomination requirement

my liasion for west point is pushing for me to do better on my act, but i told him i did not receive a nomination for west point, and he told me that there are "best fit candidates" and i was wondering if my liasion would really be able to assist me getting into west point even though i did not receive a nomination?

By liaison do you mean Field Force Representative, Regional Commander, or some other type of representative?

Do you have any particular attribute that USMA needs badly enough to use a scarce Superintendent's or VP nomination? (can you kick a 50 yard field goal?)

If you can take it and still meet deadlines why not go ahead? Don't see how it can hurt and may help with backup plans too if you improve.

Still take it! You may have the opportunity to be recommended for an AoG scholarship. It will also help your Plan B.
