Are nomination committees able to view my file and see if my application is complete or not? One of my teachers is taking a long time to submit my recommendation so my application is still incomplete.

Possible, but not likely. If BGO/ALO/FFR are on the nomination committee and if they have time, they could look up your application status. MOC reps have access to West Point admissions database, but I don't know the how much.

I have no idea. But, if you want to use a different teacher, the SA can clear the submission and let you enter a new teacher. Are you certain the teacher dragging his/her feet will write a positive eval?

I can't do that because USNA requires an 11th or 12th grade English teacher and my school works on an 18 week course system so I don't have a 12th grade English teacher yet and I won't have one until January, which is after the nomination process.

Frenzy, I am assuming that you have spoken to the teacher already, so what is the response? I know you are most likely trying to handle this on your own, but perhaps one of your parents should get involved with letting her/him know how critical it is to complete the evaluation.

We had same problem with one teacher and she did not budge until I got involved. I understand it is a delicate balance between pestering and nudging, but I also think that USNA will not hold it against you as you really have no control over whether or not your teacher completes the evaluation. Keep pressing forward.

I have gone in to remind her about twice a week for the last month, and she keeps telling me that she will get it done. She appeared a tiny bit annoyed that I was reminding her again the last time I went to remind her so I think getting a parent involved would result in her being extremely annoyed and giving me a horrible evaluation. I would prefer not to take that route but if it starts getting close to the deadline and she doesn't do it I may have to.

Have your parent speak to your guidance counselor/principal/vice principal to light a fire under her.
