Curious if everyone’s Bear’s Den will change to application under review? My DS’s still just says submitted
My DS received an email that told him that his early action application would be reviewed in the next two weeks. He submitted just prior to the deadline, so perhaps it takes a while to get through the stack.

I think that makes sense time wise....my DS submitted in early Sept so made the first round of reviews. Sounds like the admissions folks are now moving through to the next batch.

My DD submitted on 9/19 so she's hoping she'll get her decision soon. She's in constant contact with coaches from two other schools and they are getting impatient. Although I think they are upset they are not her #1 choice. 😀

My DD had a LOA with an acceptance letter in Bear’s Den this morning. Did AIM, was not a recruited athlete but did get a phone call from a coach last week to let her know she was admitted. Plans to accept.
Be sure to add your info to the appointment thread. Congrats!

My DS got an offer of appointment in his portal today. Did AIM, not an athlete. Good luck to everyone!!
Thank you for sharing.
Where does it show in the portal? On bear den or application - results ready?

Also, did the Cadet Eval Board ever get checked complete?

Thank you

On Bear den his CEB changed to “complete” today and his decision was available under “application” tab. Thanks!

CEB complete, no changes in the application tab yet…. I guess we will receive some sort of decision in the next week or so…

I just got a call... direct appointment!
Congratulations!! My DD is from NH also, awaiting an answer as her application is in review. I wonder if you both have met, did you attend Granite Girls State this past summer? What sport do you play?

I play volleyball. I didn't attend the Granite State Games this past summer, but I did the summer before. What sport does your DD play?

Granite ALA Girls State at St A’s College is what I meant to write- the govt leadership program. I know she met a number of girls also applying to military academies so thought maybe one was you! She plays soccer, hockey (alpine ski racing in Fresh/soph year but transferred to a school without skiing hence the hockey lol) and track and field (discus mostly).
Congratulations to you! So exciting and I wish you all the best!

Congrats! I am from NH too and would love to chat. I am going to try to send you a message
Welcome new member of 9 minutes.

You need a week as a registered forum member, 5 posts and time for the system to update.

My guess is the board tries to meet weekly until they get through all the EA applicants. After the board makes a recommendation, it must go the the Superintendent for review. The Admiral is the appointing authority. It's his first class so he will be thorough and ask questions as needed. Once he signs the appointment it will probably have some admin work done to the file and then some overworked person will have to update the portals for each applicant.

Due to all these steps, decisions tend to come near the end of the work week in waves. Around Christmas it will slow as folks in the process are on leave.

Good luck!

Thanks @Haveaniceday - understanding the process makes the waiting game a bit easier. @ProudMom7 that goes for you too!
