So I have a few questions regarding the application for the application for NROTC. I am a high school junior, when should I begin the application process? Do I have to meet with a recruiter before I begin the process? Also, I am signed up for the ACT in the summer, but have not yet taken it. Should I wait to begin the application process or start now? I'm really just looking for some insight into the application process. Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should start the application process which is online as soon as it opens this spring. You do not need to wait on tests. You do not need to meet with a recruiter first. You can update your application with new test scores after you submit the app. There are things you will need to get the school or teachers to submit so get those handled before summer vacation. Boards start meeting to review applications as early as august. If you're going marine option start getting prepared for the PFT now.
