Wondering if anyone has received any results from the NROTC board that met last week?

DS received the ISR Commanders scholarship in October and was told if he signed the contract then other offers that may come from Academies would be out (kicking ourselves because I’m seeing this was false information and we didn’t do further research at the time). So we are still hopeful of an update of a scholarship offer as it does not look like he’ll receive an appointment to the Academy...so far his portal still reads no decision has been made on his application at this time. Hoping turning down the ISR does not hinder him from getting a Board approved scholarship.

This wait has been long, quite long. Given most college deposits are due on May 1, it would be really helpful to expedite this process. Certainly some will make decisions on which college they attend based on whether or not they get a scholarship.

DS, back in the day, didn't get a negative reoly on his scholarship application until the middle of April. It was still plenty of time to execute the thoroughly prepared plan B.

Echo the statement above... did not get my acceptance till third week of April.

Some action on DS NROTC scholarship application today. Portal still reads, "no decision has been made on your application" but he got an email from DoDMERB that there was new activity. He logged in to check and there had been a request from NROTC for his medical. My understanding is that this is an early tip-off that a scholarship offer is coming. Is that correct?

Congrats, your DS will be receiving scholarship(in a few days)! This is exactly what happened to me and many others

Thank you. That is great to know!

Here is my thread where I asked the same question. "Teamluke" has the same thread if you check his profile. Took like 5 days though

Great news!!

Question for those who know; Applied to all ROTC groups as instructed and one was awarded from Army ROTC, If accepted with the others be stopped and no longer eligible or in the running for NROTC?

No. Completely independent processes. Accept the AROTC per the instructions provided in the portal. If you get a NROTC scholarship and want to accept, you simply decline the AROTC - per the instructions in the portal.
